He began his musical career at an early age singing and playing Peruvian music, pop and rock, and at 17 he started his studies at the National Conservatory of Music in Lima. Three years later, he won a scholarship for singing tuition at Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia.
In 1996, he made his professional debut at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro, a successful debut that marked the beginning of a stellar career. With only 23, he made his debut at La Scala in Milan and since then, he has consistently appeared in the main theatres and venues in the world alongside world renowned directors.
His generosity, charisma and passion are qualities that distinguish him in his various philanthropic activities, in addition to his acclaimed performances and recordings.
After the success of the last edition of Tío Pepe Festival, the Peruvian tenor returns to the stages of the Festival to delight the audience with an evening of boleros where he will perform great hits from his album "Bésame mucho".
