India Martínez comes from the neighbourhood of Las Palmeras and Palmeras is the name of her eighth album, launched on 25 October. This is how the Cordoba-born performer pays tribute to her origins, and returns to the starting point for breaking borders.

India presents her legion of followers with a work full of femininity, strength and talent, a final feat of flamenco and pop fusion which has catapulted her as an essential performer. Palmeras is a proof of India's overflowing art, standing number one in the Spanish racial pop ranking. All her talent has been demonstrated since her early work, during last decade, through her typical mix of cultures and world music: Hindu, Arabic or, of course, flamenco.
